DAR VOCE
Voluntary Service Centre of Reggio Emilia (IT)

Mission
Dar Voce is the Voluntary Service Centre of the Province of Reggio Emilia and member of the Italian Network of Voluntary Service Centres (VSC).
The Voluntary Service Centres are:
  • regulated and financed, since 1991, with National Law 266 on voluntary work;
  • aimed at supporting the development of volunteer organisations and the culture of solidarity.
There are about 77 VSCs performing at a national level and representing more than 9.000 voluntary work associations.

Fields of activities
Dar Voce associates 73 volunteer organisations and supports and collaborates with about 500 associations based in the Province of Reggio Emilia, which are committed in a wide range of topics such as: human rights, peace and citizenships; immigration; disabled people and other disadvantage groups; health; international cooperation; youth; environment; culture and historic-artistic heritage; sports and leisure activities, etc..
Moreover, Dar Voce cooperates at a national level with the other Italian Centres, social and institutional Networks, representatives of the EU on specific projects, research and strategies; and with territorial stakeholders such as local Institutions, employers associations and enterprises, schools and universities, social partners.

Services
The main services provided to the associations and individuals are:
  • promotion of voluntary work and of the culture of solidarity;
  • help desk: information, guidance, counselling on legal, financial, administrative, regulatory, communication, documentation, management and institutional issues;
  • training: courses and initiatives for volunteers and operators, management of training processes;
  • support to access and management of private and public funds (local, national, European);
  • logistics and equipment support;
  • help to improve communication in all the operating fields;
  • direct financing of projects managed by the organizations, as provided by the law.
